Andrew has received the following letter from the Cradoc Park Management Committee.
The above article was published in the Melbourne Sunday Herald Sun, 26th April 2015.
There is an error with dates where the article in paragraph 4 says March 1916. It should read August 1916 as per the last paragraph in column 3. The SHS  has apologised for the error.

Percy Cherry Memorial Park

A park dedicated to Percy Cherry VC MC has been created near his birth town of Drysdale Vic under the auspices of the Drysdale RSL. It is located in Bay View Estate, Creekside Drive, Curlewis, a short drive from Geelong.

The monument was unveiled on Monday, 20 April 2015 and was attended by Vonny Westhead, Bill and Josh Westhead, Fiona and Ray Dean and Andrew and Keryl Schwinghammer.

It was only by luck that Bill found out about this dedication as there was no contact made with any family members by the organisers but they were more than happy for us to be involved when contacted by Bill.

Bill once again did a great job on writing the epitaph for the monument and being the headline speaker on the day.  A job well done.

An error has been made on the monument where VC MC has been omitted from the title.  This will be rectified shortly.
